After Sea Otter Post Office Jam

Apr 20, 2010 at 12:25
by Conner Kuhns
The monday after the Sea otter Classic, the top pro's of dirt jumping come together at the world famous post office jumps to ride and have a little fun. everyone from the locals like the McCaul brothers, Rdog, Jack Fogelquist and Guy French, to pro's from far away like Brandon Semenuk to Alex Pro, the stage was set for a showdown.I arrived late compared to others, the jam was set to go all day till dark, when i arrived around 5:30, it was definitely going off, photographers everywhere setting up light, riders hanging out talking about the day's events so far, and of course, others hitting the jumps and throwing all sorts of tricks left and right.
I didn't have a bike with me to ride, so i brought my camera to try and capture some good moments, here are a few of my favorites.

Fogel throwin a huge berm slider...

...Into a little inward table action.

Guy French with a huge tuck no hander.

Dan Atherton was in attendance on the little bike, receiving heckling from JD Swanguen about how he should ride a man's (MTB) bike.

Brenden Faircloth also showed up, styling every jump he hit.

I'm not sure who this was, but he was throwing down big time, this time with a dump 3.

Ryan "Rdog" Howard was killing it as usual.

Another guy i didn't catch the name of, throwing a tailwhip.

JD Swanguen finally jumped on his bike after filming and heckling to throw down his signature huge whips.

When I arrived Andrew Taylor was on top of the Contour HD RV taking pictures, he took a break to throw this superman.

My favorite of all the pictures i took, Brandon Semenuk with this man sized whip.

Overall the jam was super fun, even though i got there late, i still saw alot of super sick style and tricks being thrown, Everyone who was there knows what im talking about, and for those of you who didn't make it, you missed a good time, and i highly suggest you try and make it out to the post office jumps weather it be to ride, or simply to watch, no matter which it is, you're guaranteed to have a damn good time.

Salute
